Even so, he shouldn’t hold out hope for getting an invite from RuPaul anytime soon.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday night, a fan called in to ask RuPaul which celebrity would be “banned” from the show.

He didn’t hesitate.

“Oh, well probably the 45th president of the United States,” RuPaul responded to cheers from the audience.

He went on to allude to the current political climate as he spoke about his goals for the program.

“We are at an interesting time in our culture,” he told Cohen and fellow guest Anjelica Huston. “I want to be a part of a conversation that moves the conversation forward to the 21st century and helps people navigate some of these tricky, tricky waters we’re in right now … Nobody knows how to handle all of this.”

But one political figure would most certainly be welcome: former first lady Michelle Obama.

RuPaul shared how Obama invited him and the singer Adele to the after-party for her book tour stop in London last month.

“The best part was when Mrs. Obama invited us to the after-party and she came over to our table to eat fish and chips, which was really good,” he revealed. “And she was so personable and human, and we talked about everything. She’s a great person.”
